Internet Marketing Training and Much More

October 1st, 2009

The weekend of September 25-27, 2009 will be forever etched in my mind.  Those dates marked a turning point.  A turning point… personal, business and spiritual.  Who would have ever thought that an internet marketing training event could be such a spiritual experience?

The story actually begins back in March 2009.  Placing an order to Nitro Marketing for the Nitro Blueprint System, I had every intention of buckling down and working to build an online business so that I would no longer have to deal with federal budget cuts and all the horror stories of the bad economy.  On receipt of my Nitro Blueprint System, which is the best guidance I’ve come across for running an online business, I got right to work following the steps, watching the videos and listening to the audios every spare minute I could.

The Nitro Blueprint System really is a very workable system.  I was very enthusiastic to get my site up and start raking in the cash.  Little did I know my negatively conditioned mind would keep standing in the way.

A few weeks later I had my blog set up and had been blogging, although not too regularly.

“When I have time…” I would say to myself.  “As soon as I get these other things done…” was also a familiar excuse to not work on my business.

Sure I did some things that moved me very slooooowly along the path to financial independence, but soon I began skipping a day of work here and there and eventually put the videos on the bottom shelf.  I put the manual under a stack of papers that were “more important.”   I quit visiting the members forum regularly.

By July I had all but forgotten that I had the Blueprint in my possession.

Luckily I am an avid email freak, and the people at Nitro were not about to let me off that easy.  I received an email from the folks at Nitro Marketing.  I had forgotten about the one element that came along as an extra value added bonus to the Nitro Blueprint System:  the Everyday Entrepreneur Event.

This is what makes the Nitro Blueprint system so different.  The people who sell it actually care if you use it or not.  The Everyday Entrepreneur is a live event designed to give you what it takes to run your online business.

Yeah, yeah, I thought.  “I already know how to do that.”  “I’m comfortable where I’m at.”  When the email came in for the live event, I had my doubts, but I needed a weekend away from home anyway…for some peace of mind and down time.  Wow, I never expected what this weekend would do for me, my online business, and my entire state of mind.

I have been a student of self development / self improvement for several years now.  I’ve read countless books, been through programs on audio and DVD.  In my own opinion I felt that I was doing all I could to improve my life.  Not by a long shot.

To understand the total impact of this event, you have to know a little of my background.  I come from a Native American Indian reservation in west central New Mexico.  It is a culture that is steeped in customs and traditions.

Needless to say, I do not have a whole lot in common with most of the people I was raised by and with.  I have always had that entrepreneurial streak which I believe was instilled in me by my dad, God bless him.  I lost my father in 1980, and after his death, I was left as a newly graduated college student, with his business to run.  He was a great automotive mechanic and had built a business from nothing.  I knew nothing about cars, except how to drive them and put gas in them!  I did fairly well with the business, enough to pay the outstanding loans, but I knew this was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I eventually started my own flower and gift shop and learned how to paint ceramics and make traditional native pottery.  I also worked for a veterinarian and had a stint in a real estate related office.  I was trained in accounting, and so I did that for a number of years.  All this experience, but still no definite direction.  In the meantime, the years were flying by.  I tried a lot of different businesses, different jobs, but never felt that passion that is necessary to dive in and not look back.

Life happens while you are making plans.  My aging mother fell ill to 3 successive strokes.  She became totally dependent on me for her care.  I eventually had to put her in a nursing home, which is almost unheard of in our culture.  Guilt.

Within 18 months I’ve attended 19 funerals.  This is a lot of funerals for a community of approximately 8000 people.  Some of these funerals were for family members, very close friends, extended family and acquaintances.  Most of these deaths were people under the age of 50.  Some of them under the age of 25.  Most of them were due to suicide and substance abuse.

In addition, the world was losing celebrities that I had grown up with and felt a connection with.  There were bombings, natural disasters and horrific DWI crashes.

I lost two wonderful pets who had help me deal with grief, illness and guilt.  My health was starting to become a concern.  How can I help, I wondered.  If I am hurting this bad, I could imagine what other people were going through.

I needed to find my place, my calling so that I could begin to help heal the world, or my small part of it anyway.  I needed to find a way to the freedom and passion that I knew I was capable of, so that I could pass it along to others just like me who were feeling hopeless and helpless.

I’m not being dramatic.  This is the truth for me.  I found what was missing on the weekend in Dallas.  People there probably wondered why this weekend was so emotional for me.  (I was the one crying all Sunday afternoon.)  That’s the story. I wouldn’t make it up even if I could.

I feel like I’ve been through hell and now I see the light at the end of a deep dark tunnel.  Now I know what I will do when I feel like quitting.  I will remember the weekend in Dallas when I found a whole new family to support me.

So, from the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU NITRO TEAM. You may never know how many people you have helped indirectly by helping me to see the light.

Try it, get the system.  Follow it.  It’s not just about business or making money.  Nitro Marketing will help you.  They are not a faceless group on the internet.  They are real people, they care.  They will help you to find a way to live in freedom in passion.  Try it, you deserve it, just like I do.  Go to Nitro Marketing.  Give yourself a gift that has the potential to keep giving.

My new mantra is “I live in total health and wealth in order to help heal the world.”  This is true for me, and it can be for you.
